You’ve got refs going on podcasts saying “I decided to play a game with myself rather than reffing the match” & going on tv shows saying “I didn’t overturn a wrong call because I felt bad for my mate” but somehow there’s still debate about whether pro ref is fit for purpose
A normal 50/50 grapple that has been allowed for years, but the ref chooses to punish Arsenal for vibes. Against Arsenal anything can be a penalty. No point checking the rules or discussing if it should be a penalty or not, refs will just give them for whatever they like.
I wanna be careful because I don’t know exactly what the consultants were hired to do at Arsenal, and in general I have major issues with management consulting. Buuuuut….There’s a huge dose of sensationalism about the way this is being reported, & massive assumptions being made
Please this is the stuff that starts people's minds going into overdrive.
Forget about it. Transfer season is over. Go into January with zero expectations of transfer and you won't be going crazy like the last few weeks.
I think pundits and rivals (and our own fans) just got used to Arsenal not investing on the pitch, so now that our spending is more aligned with top PL sides everyone is getting mad for no reason. In reality we're still catching up to other top PL clubs. #Arsenal#afc
Andrea Berta being removed from the Emirates after his last minute deadline day move for a left winger is signing Reiss Nelson on a free transfer.

Sad end to what has otherwise been a good window.
We moved all our unwanted players, got decent fees, strengthened defence and midfield with top PL proven players. If we'd got a good LW (in addition to Tzolis) this could have been a 10/10 window.

Borussia Dortmund make proposal to loan Arsenal attacker Ethan Nwaneri. Talks ongoing and a decision imminent. Nwaneri not in squad to face Aston Villa. https://t.co/j2h3D09qI3
If we don't sign anyone else then it makes sense that Eze would move to LW while Nwaneri covers the 8/10 position. Might not be ideal but maintains depth from last season. If Nwaneri goes we def need one more attacking midfielder / LW. #Arsenal#afc
Borussia Dortmund have had a very real interest in Ethan Nwaneri for some time, came very close to signing him last summer before his deal was renewed.
From a personal POV, if Arsenal follow the sale of Martinelli with a loan of Nwaneri with no forward signing...
