@standforpts @TheKatieduke I will defend the NPs that do have experience prior to attending NP school as I am one of them. I had 5 years nursing (3yrs ICU experience) before applying to my AG ACDNP/CNS program which I am currently enrolled in and still working as an ICU nurse.

@standforpts @TheKatieduke You are correct. Some schools do not require experience which is concerning when our bedside and graduate education make NPs so special. At the same time there’s such a large gap to fill in primary and family care since there are simply not enough providers.
