The 2022-23 Kings are officially a one-year blip in a nearly 20-year stretch of disappointment in Sacramento.
The last time I cried when a Kings player got traded, was Webber.
Crying again, today, because just thank you for what you’ve done for the team and this city @swipathefox 💜

Seems like someone made a rash decision to save themselves another day.
Say what you want about Mike Brown. This man truly loved Sacramento and immersed himself in the city.
From the moment he arrived in the 916, he made an effort to connect with the community. Whether it was going to high school football games or showing up at Sac State basketball games, he truly wanted to be a part of this city.
He brought a much needed "change of culture" to a team that was in the midst of the longest playoff drought in NBA history. Brown immediately made an impact and successfully got the team to "buy in."
Being a head coach of a professional sports team is no easy task. But Mike Brown never wavered in his dedication and commitment to the team. Regardless of how tough things got, he held himself accountable and protected his players.
Lastly, Mike Brown was always kind to the media. He treated us with the utmost respect at all times. He always made time for us, even if it was small talk.
He was everything that you'd want a head coach to be.
I’d like to thank Mike Brown for what he did for the city and the franchise.
No matter what you think of his firing, he changed the culture and ended the playoff drought, and should get quite the ovation upon his return.
DeMar DeRozan enters the Golden 1 Center for the first time as a Sacramento King.
He sits with owner Vivek Ranadive courtside and is also greeted by Kings 13th overall pick Devin Carter.
It’s crazy because Warriors fans act like you wouldn’t have talked trash if they won. It’s part of sports. 4 parades and you’re salty Kings fans had some fun?
I was in the arena and EVERY Warriors fan flashed the 4 like Klay at Kings fans. It is what it is.
