@ayanajsk Because there is a marked and material difference between "hey, this is a critique of what you did" vs "lol here's a critique of what this dumb bitch did who'd ever listen to them"
@taylr did the latter.
@ayanajsk Yep, that's true. I understand the broader criticism and again, agree w/ it and think there's an opp to have a robust convo about that.
But the thing is, it is a personal attack. And like I've been saying, that's the issue.
@Sheila_Regan@taylr And also, I think it’s shitty to throw shade at me and then be totally unwilling to 1) addesss me directly by @‘ing me or 2) being willing to respond when I addressed her about it directly.
@Sheila_Regan@taylr She’s suggesting that I’m ignorant and ill suited to the work that I do and there’s an implicit assumption that content creator = illegitimate.
Again, totally fine with the criticism (she’s right!). It’s the unnecessary snark that I take umbridge with.
@vincempls I’d offer a disagreement here (though not Becka; she’s racist and transphobic) to say that they are just different lanes. I think that folks need to do their best to be dealing in fact based information and cite their sources, but content creation has value.
I was feeling sad and after listening to my cry and express my feelings, my wife was like “let’s go get a sweet treat” so we went to the store and laughed a lot and spent $40 on snacks and that really is why marriage is great.
40 years old, has played over 40 mins in an NBA playoff game and still getting up to block shots at the rim. He’s the best ever and it’s absolutely not even close.
When my wife (her daughter) said something, her response was “I was only going to eat the meat and cheese!”
THOSE ARE THE PARTS YOU SHOULD BE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT
No but why do these parents treat food safety standards like suggestions?? My MIL bought a ham sandwich while flying in last night, left it in her bag overnight, then wanted to put it in the fridge this morning to eat later. What is going on????
