Suppose a child with type 1 diabetes needs insulin for survival , but the parent doesn't believe in modern medicine and is fooling around with some pills and potions. Since there are no child care services to protect the kid, what options does a doctor have to ensure that the child doesn't die because of the parent's recalcitrant stupidity ?
Is it possible to report the parent to the police for causing grievous harm to the child?
