@ListerLawrence I remember a time when my local force were offered C Class mercs, 40% cheaper than the Octavia’s they went for. The Chief said it a bad look to have expensive looking cars regardless of thier actual cost. I don’t think they consider much more other than public perception.

@TedWelford I know a guy who has a similar situation. Daily’s a car worth about 10k now with a ££75k plate on it. He also has some beautiful cars in his garage, he just wants to use all his plates rather than retention.
