I built Pinned (vocab flashcards on your home screen) before doing real market research. Big mistake.
Now I'm fixing it. How do you find what users actually need, and what makes an app different?

Spaced repetition works. The problem is you have to open the app.
So in Pinned, the due card sits on your home screen. No app to open.
Lock screen or home screen for your daily cards?
Day 2 of building a flashcard app for people who never open flashcard apps

My flashcard app was never the problem. Opening it was.
So I'm building Pinned: flashcards that live on your lock screen. A question pops up while you check the time.
Day 1. Design only, code next.
What app do you always mean to open but never do?
