I am deeply grateful to the Board of Trustees and the University Council for re-appointing me as the Vice-Chancellor of @DaystarUni for another period of 5 years w.e.f. 1st March 2024.

What a tragedy. He represented both the Luhya and national aspirations in the political arena. He epitomized courage, generosity and determination. He truly lifted our aspirations as a people.

It’s God who enables one to aspire into the preposition of Virtuous leadership requiring expertise in the vocation coupled with exceptional relational skills… done with an enduring fortitude of courage, love and forebearance. It’s not me but God, pushing me into the transcendental path of leadership. The assessment for the Champions of Award 2024 by Institute of Certified Secretaries was vigorous traversing all domains of leadership @DaystarUni - financial, human resource, Emotional Intelligence, quality of service delivery, strategic approaches and the wellness of the institution.
Not forgetting our values and Christ-centeredness .
This award therefore is about ALL of us at Daystar and Not Ayiro the VC.

14 Vice-Chancellors in the historic launch of the Innovation Funding Toolkit, a model designed to guide Kenyan universities in securing funding for innovation. Also closure ceremony of the 5th Entrepreneurial Leadership Training Programme at the Kenya Innovation Week 2024, held at the Edge Convention Center.
I am grateful to the Kenya Innovation Agency and its partners, including the British Council Kenya, the Lemelson Foundation, and UK International Development, for the immense support provided to us and the other 13 universities over the past year.
