1/ Markets just shook — Korea's exchange tripped its circuit breakers twice in a morning, the Nasdaq had its worst week in a year. The bubble-callers feel vindicated.

But here's the uncomfortable part for the permabears 🧵

2/ @michaeljburry shut Scion and went full Cassandra. Grantham (@GMOInsights) literally titled his new book "The Making of a Permabear." @RayDalio reminds us a bubble *forming* and a bubble *bursting* are different things.

They're not wrong that there's froth.

3/ But Grantham called the dot-com bubble in 1996 — and was right. Anyone who left then missed the 376% the Nasdaq ran before it popped.

If you trade on it, "early" is hard to tell apart from "wrong."

4/ AI is a revolution on the scale of agriculture → industry → information, only compressed into a decade. The froth and the revolution are happening at once.

The skill was never calling the top. It's selectivity.
