Nearly every world leader at #COP26 is male.
The #patriarchy seems abstract until you realise that the future or humanity rests this week almost exclusively in the hands of men.
@gailbradbrook#ClimateEmergency
I’m not anti-football. I like it. I’m anti the double standards, racism, misogyny, domestic violence and queerphobia that is sadly attached to it. I also am aware the demographic are part of a culture where emotions are repressed and football is a widely accepted way for men
@brookeyoung07 yes im categorising all police here now. there has been too many circumstances where police have dealt with things in the wrong way. we are angry at them and we have a right to be.
We are angry at police, we’re angry that *majority* men can gather, drink + destroy council property while being escorted by the police yet women can’t peacefully mourn a murder without police force being used -nobody cares if it was rangers, the problem = how it’s dealt with
@RFC1872II@brookeyoung07@brookeduncannnn no. football fans were allowed to gather without problems but women are not allowed to mourn. thats the issue.
police are the police. yes they are 2 different countries but they are both meant to act in an honourable way and how they handled both was unacceptable.
