The first few times my Mum visited me after I got married, she will just be breathing up and down 😆
She will say ‘Oreeeeeee’ ‘Oreeeeee’ ‘Oreeeeee’
She will say: ‘Mo ko e o’ ‘I trained you o’
I’m like, naaaaah, we don't do all that sturvs here 🤣🤣🤣
In the morning, my husband and I have a spot in Ikoyi where we go to buy breakfast and in the evening, he will go to the army barracks in front of MTN HQ to buy fantastic soup and swallow that we will eat.
Shey me that I am on a bank audit? Where you wan take see me?
These days, there is more flexibility, so I try my best.
A guard dog bought by a company for security purposes can be recognised as an asset, specifically as PPE, if it meets the recognition criteria.
Here’s how I’d look at it:
Initial cost: The purchase cost and directly attributable costs of bringing the dog to working condition can be capitalised.
Useful life: The cost is depreciated over the dog’s estimated useful working life.
Maintenance: Feeding, veterinary bills, grooming and other routine maintenance costs are generally expensed as incurred.
Materiality: If the amount is immaterial under the company’s accounting policy, it may be expensed rather than capitalised.
So, the dog itself isn’t automatically a liability just because the company has to feed it.
The real question is whether it meets the recognition criteria for an asset.
Now, the interesting question is: what account would you put the guard dog under in the PPE register?

You work at work, and then you come back home, and you continue to do house chores.
From time to time, let it go into chaos.
Everybody should go to the fridge and find themselves something to eat.
Teach everybody resourcefulness.
Leave the laundry, let it pile.
On a Saturday, stretch your legs, lie in, and let breakfast come to you.
Nothing will happen.
The trigger has been removed.
The person causing the stress has left their lives. This reduces cortisol and it’s easier for her to stop stress eating amongst other things.
You people underestimate the effect a ‘bad’ partner can have on a person.
NO, you CANNOT walk 10,000 steps daily, get 8 hours of sleep, cook every night, clean every day, take care of a family, make time for your own hobbies, and still be productive at work every day. This is not just propaganda, it is rubbısh. Free yourself from it.
The tweet is right, and more people need to hear it plainly.
The wellness industrial complex has packaged an impossible life and sold it as a "routine."
10,000 steps. Eight hours. Home-cooked meals. Spotless apartment. Present parent. Thriving career. Rich inner life.
That is not a day. That is five people's days stitched together and called one.
The math simply does not work.
A day has 24 hours. Sleep takes 8. Work takes 8 to 10. Commuting, cooking, cleaning, parenting, showering... you are already out of hours before a single hobby enters the picture.
So what actually happens when you chase the full list?
You do all of it badly.
The sleep gets cut. The meals become guilt. The hobby sits untouched for six weeks. And you wake up feeling like a failure at a life that was never actually possible.
The higher skill is not optimization.
It is sequencing. Knowing which season of life you are in and letting that season set your priorities.
There are years you run hard on career and the apartment stays messy. Years you pour into your kids and the fitness slips. Years you finally sleep and rebuild.
None of that is failure.
That is someone who understands the actual terms and conditions of being human.
Pick your top three. Do those well. Let the rest breathe.
This is one of those hairstyles that's easy to maintain and easy to style. I love her cutting pattern, neat and well lined 👌🏽🫶🏽✨
Note: I don't know the name of the attachment, but feel free to save this and show it to your stylist.
If someone breaks up with you and later changes their mind, you have two choices: either don’t take them back and accept that the relationship is over so you can focus on healing, or take them back and start looking for another option because the relationship is over anyway. They’ll do it again and again at the slightest misunderstanding, and that’s no way to live.
Two people came back from school. Only one person was tasked with making soup for the family. The other wasn’t even expected to help carry plates, or assist in any way.
This is how entitled men are raised. They grow up believing domestic work is a woman’s responsibility, so they can sit at home or return from work hours before their wife and still expect her to come home and cook because it’s not their duty
Honestly pregnancy and childbirth is such a vulnerable and fragile moment for any woman.
If you treat me badly in any or both of those moments i will never forgive or forget

Yesterday, my wife was in a rush to deliver a cake. She was already running late and the pressure was building.
She mostly works with buttercream. She doesn’t usually do fondant cakes. But the design for this order required a small fondant pattern around the base.
She tried a few things and it wasn’t going smoothly. In the middle of the stress, she came to wake me up.
Now imagine that… I was sleeping peacefully and someone who is already anxious wakes you up for help with something you don’t even do. I don’t bake cakes. I don’t decorate cakes. Yet she still came to ask me.
So I sat up and thought about it for a moment. Then I asked her a simple question:
“Have you tried printing the design on edible paper?”
She said she hadn’t. I encouraged her to try it.
And guess what?
It worked.
She didn’t need to struggle with the fondant anymore. The design came out beautifully and the problem was solved.
After she finished the cake, I drove her to deliver it. On our way back home, she said something that really stayed with me.
She said,
“Imagine I came to wake you and you didn’t answer… or you answered but there was nothing you could contribute.”
I jokingly said “you know you married a smart and a handsome man. lol.. 2 in 1” and we laugh it off.
That sentence made me think deeply.
Imagine she woke me up and I had nothing to offer. No idea. No suggestion. No calmness. No support.
What would my excuse be? That I don’t bake cakes? Hmmnnn
This is something many of us men need to reflect on.
Very often, women don’t suddenly wake up one day and decide their husbands are useless. It rarely happens like that. Most times, it is the accumulation of many small moments.
Moments when they were worried.
Moments when they needed advice.
Moments when they were anxious and looking for reassurance.
Moments when they needed someone to help them think.
And each time they turned to the person closest to them… there was nothing there.
No curiosity.
No interest.
No attempt to understand what they do.
No effort to be involved in their world.
So over time, they start looking elsewhere for conversation, insight, and understanding.
Not always because they want to replace their husband… but because they want someone who can actually engage with their reality.
If your wife is a nurse, read a little about nursing.
If she runs a business, learn something about that business.
Ask her questions. Ask her about her day. Let her explain things to you.
You don’t have to become an expert. But the effort matters.
Because one day, when she comes to wake you up in the middle of her stress, you might just say one small thing that solves a big problem.
And in that moment, you are not just her husband.
You become her support system. Her sounding board. Her partner in the truest sense of the word.
Sometimes love is not grand gestures.
Sometimes love is simply being useful when it matters. ❤️
