The Federal Government Brought Chinese People into Nigeria in Large Numbers to Destr%y Igbo Businesses — Veteran Nollywood Actor Joseph Okechukwu Alleges

Veteran Nollywood actor Joseph Okechukwu has reacted to the recent protest by some Igbo traders at the Lagos Trade Fair Complex over the involvement of Chinese nationals in retail trading.

Okechukwu alleged that the Federal Government brought Chinese people into Nigeria in large numbers to destr%y Igbo businesses, insisting that economic development in Ala Igbo must begin now.

“Yorubas are even giving their lands free to the Chinese just to destroy Igbo businesses. They don’t know us Igbos,” he said.

He further expressed confidence in the economic future of the South-East, saying, “Manufacturing companies will soon start springing up everywhere in the South East.”
