yesterday, I learned that 1950s wives were expected to help their husbands with school. my grandma Shirley kept track of my grandpa's law school assignments and exam dates; typed and corrected his papers; organized his notes; and made study guides for exams. she deserved a JD too

@svpino When we decided to migrate to the UK, everybody advised us to go to the US. No 1 reason for me, as a mom of two, to say no was mass shootings at schools. Never been to the US tbh but I felt everyday life is easier in the UK and Europe in general comparing to the US.

At the moment, I am questioning it. Similar to the pregnancy period, the fund/position for early career researcher requirements should omit the 2-year pandemic period. I almost did nothing during those days while taking care of a toddler in isolation 😓
