Want to understand complex intrinsic and extrinsic metabolic regulation of HSCs? Our latest @NatureCellBio review, led by @Aysglrdm, synthesize insights into cell fate decisions and highlight implications for leukemogenesis. @Cla_Morganti@Einstein_SCI https://t.co/A2UpKzWO6Q
Our lab’s newest review (led by Federica) published in Extracellular Vesicle, an official journal of @AAEV_org. A comprehensive overview of EV cargo & functions in normal and malignant hematopoiesis, highlighting dynamic changes with clinical implications. https://t.co/FoLIgEJHE0
New preprint from the lab! In this study we dive into the mechanisms that give #leukemia cells #metabolic plasticity, and how it differs from healthy cells. We discovered a process involving rapid changes in protein S-acylation unique to leukemia!

The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain.
Our response then must be our response now:
NO to violations of international law.
NO to the illusion that we can solve the world’s problems with bombs.
NO to repeating the mistakes of the past.
NO TO WAR.

Happy holidays and warm wishes for the New Year from the Keisuke Ito Lab at @EinsteinMed@Einstein_SCI!! So grateful for this incredible team and truly proud to work alongside our colleagues at Einstein and our wonderful collaborators. @Cla_Morganti
New preprint from our lab! Given the importance of nucleotide synthesis for AML cells, and the fact that aspartate is essential for nucleotide synthesis, we wondered if exogenous aspartate uptake through EAAT transporters plays a role in this cancer.
New paper from our lab! In this study, we show that AML cells critically depend on LDHA to maintain their NAD+/NADH balance. Congrats to first author Ayşegül Erdem and all co-authors!
