Studies in AUS found that since the social media ban went into effect teenagers are significantly less educated on news and events and more ignorant on what’s going on in the world. This is the goal. Western govts saw the rise of the information age and are seeking to quash it
This is a watershed moment in Pakistan's history - something we'd narrate with immense pride to our kids and grandkids decades down the road. Every Pakistani should keep their heads high. We've buried decades of Israeli strategic designs and secured a historic standing. 🇵🇰
Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.
We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard.
With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony.

THE SMALLEST NATION TO EVER QUALIFY HAVE SCORED AGAINST THE FOUR TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS 🇨🇼🔥
Cope and seethe, you Israel-first grifting tw@t. You worshipped Trump right up until the moment he broke with Israel’s policies.
Pakistan will continue to mediate until we have peace in the region.
Can't believe I took you for a serious analyst at one point.
The US, Israel and Iran have all bumbled through this war and missed opportunities, but Pakistan deserves great credit for consistently working very hard as an intermediary for peace between capricious and obdurate enemies. Bravo, @CMShehbaz and COAS Munir.
You take a sport that it's spirit lies in it's competitiveness, fairness and the game to America were sports is nothing but a means to an entertainment.
The biggest American sporting event is the superbowl. The superbowl takes almost 3-4 hours to finish despite the fact that the game itself is just 60 minutes. Why? Advertisement. That's the American way of sport. Commercials are part of their game. It is not the footballing way.
No true football fan watches a game because an artist is coming over to sing. The superbowl is basically more known for the singing pre game than the game itself.
FIFA are aware but Infantino has sold the game for money. Money, money and money. No wonder he does not see eye to eye with UEFA president Ceferin. The avarice is too much. Football fans want to watch football. American fans want to watch commercials. It's a strange bed fellow.
As the next FIFA election schedule for 18 March 2027, comes around it is time to question the wisdom of Infantino leading FIFA. His policies have done nothing to help the game. Do not be surprised if a change at the helm happens. When it does, it would have been this tournament in America that must have put a final nail on his coffin.
We see.
Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal. Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps. Peace has never been this close as it is now.

The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has never been closer. Pending its finalization, the media should refrain from entering speculation about its content.
In line with our responsible and transparent approach, all details will be shared with the public in due course.
Many people don’t know this, but India and Bangladesh signed a similar water-sharing treaty for the Ganges, in 1996, which is set to EXPIRE in December 2026 (this year).
You will see India use Water to arm-twist its neighbours. “Moderate” Indians will likely whisper about it, but nothing beyond.
Of course, with the precedent set by India by violating the Indus Water treaty, they’ve opening the risk of China (which is bound by no treaty), to begin manipulating the Brahmaputra for its broader use. These dominoes have now been set in motion.

🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 While the Trump administration - along with governments across Europe and the Middle East - is focused on the escalating crisis with Iran, the Israeli cabinet is expected to approve on Thursday a plan to fund the de facto establishment of 61 new settlements in the occupied West Bank, according to a draft government decision I obtained.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Why it matters: A source familiar with the proposal said the government is expected to allocate more than $350 million over several years to move 61 newly authorized settlements from paper to reality.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The plan would fund temporary residential compounds, public buildings and infrastructure even before formal planning procedures are completed, marking one of the most significant settlement expansion moves in decades.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The proposal is being championed by far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. The timing is significant: the government is seeking to approve the funding before a possible vote to dissolve the Knesset and trigger new elections - a scenario that could make large-scale budget allocations substantially more difficult.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Between the lines: Many of the settlements included in the proposal are located in strategically sensitive areas, including along Highway 90 in the Jordan Valley, in the South Hebron Hills, and in locations designed to create territorial continuity between existing settlements. Such a move further undermines the prospect of a future Palestinian state.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Rather than merely granting formal recognition to new settlements, the government would begin simultaneously funding housing, infrastructure and public services for dozens of communities - a move that could significantly reshape the map of the West Bank over the coming years.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Zoom in: Under the plan, the government would finance temporary settlement sites that include mobile homes, public facilities, community infrastructure and support services.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The proposal would also fund development work for the permanent settlements expected to follow, including roads, utilities and other core infrastructure.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The significance of the proposal lies not only in the number of settlements involved, but also in the government's decision to begin physical implementation before completing the full statutory planning process.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The proposal follows a government decision approved last week that allocated roughly $35 million for planning and regulatory work related to the same settlements. The new proposal moves beyond planning and into implementation.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 In practice, it would allow the government to establish temporary settlement sites while planning procedures are still underway, creating facts on the ground that could later evolve into permanent settlements.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The big picture: The move comes amid a broader effort by the Israeli government to strengthen its hold over Area C of the West Bank and accelerate settlement expansion.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 It also follows a series of cabinet decisions over the past year authorizing dozens of new settlements, representing the largest wave of settlement approvals in years.
