Lack of effort and intensity seems to be a common theme under Carrick so far. Everyone comes to the ball, no runs in behind to create space and multiple players just walking around the pitch. Carrick needs to start whipping them into shape otherwise he won't last the season

If we can get Baleba playing like he was two seasons then it's a great signing as his passing can be worked on especially with Carrick being the manager. He fills the big hole the midfield has with lack of mobility
