At the end of the day though, you gotta give Drake props. Dude straight up have up his whole career just to make Kendrick the biggest name in the music industry right now
@DanielLear22083@ToriatheistTori That's very true. Religion has not played a role in Swedish lawmaking in nearly 200 years. Neither has Chinese philosophy, though I'm not entirely sure why it would
@DanielLear22083@ToriatheistTori A majority of Swedes aren't necessarily Christian. Many do, of course, still carry out Christian rituals as part of their culture, but a majority would claim to not be "sure" about any deity. Most choose not to think too hard on it
@DanielLear22083@ToriatheistTori In the 17th century, ever since Gustav III in the late 18th century, Sweden has allowed religious freedom for any non-Swedish citizen. Furthermore, throughout the 19th and 20th centuries has Sweden gradually become increasingly secularised to the point where today, (2/3
All I can think of seeing this is the Kurdish city of Kobane, one of many Kurdish cities besieged by ISIS that saw lots of Kurdish women fighting on the front lines and even getting famous for that very thing
@JoeBerne1@LizardKingDK See, I could. But I won't. Because I don't wanna. I'll have guns and I'll have magic and it'll be fantasy whatever anyone may think about guns. Because as much as I adore swords and historical settings, guns don't make a setting less fantasy
@voldaon@HerWalkTexRang@ScienceGuys_ A spinning bullet has angular momentum. When a thing has momentum, it resists changes to its momentum. By spinning the bullet along its "long axis" it resists changes that might cause it spin along its "short axis" thus keeping its nose pointing forward.
@voldaon@HerWalkTexRang@ScienceGuys_ Bullets always spin when fired. It is due to the rifling inside the barrel and is by design, intended to improve accuracy.
Fletching on an arrow serves the same purpose, causing the arrow to spin once loosed, making it more accurate.
@NUKAGUNNER88@s8n Greek/Roman etc (i.e, pre-christian Europe) then Christianity wins by a long shot.
It helps to have a bigger kill count when you've murdered the opposition
@NUKAGUNNER88@s8n Depends on how you define "pagan". If you mean anyone not following abrahamitic religions, then definitely pagans, by sheer virtue of numbers (I mean he'll, take your average pre-modern war in China and you already hit tens of millions).
If we talking specifically Norse/Celtic/
@Chewb3rt@Maximumatheist The nine crusades into the quote unquote Holy Land, at least one crusade into Finland (by Sweden 13th century), and heaven knows how many crusades into eastern Europe begs to differ
@centristlol@VeggieBadger@BesDMarx Illegal = Cannot be done in accordance to the law.
Criminal = If performed, punishable in accordance to the law.
Small difference, but still an important one
My mother has been pestering me for grandkids since I was 20 (27 now) even though I have two older siblings and haven't ever had a gf until this year. Idk if that counts
Childfree men: Do you also get insulted about choosing NOT to have kids?
I was thinking about how childfree women seem to get comments about how they'll die surrounded by a ton of cats and if any men have experienced similar comments.
@Shaan1007@LocalBateman The KKK (Ku Klux Klan) famously dress in a white robe and white hood. The man in the video seemingly dressed like the KKK until he put on the green, dressing instead as a priest (or something similar).
