Do please spread the word: we are looking for a data / computer science post-doc (full-time, 2 years) to work with the @MuseumsMapping team to track the flows of objects from closed museums.

@eltonteb@DEJPett@PelagiosNetwork Now that it's live, we should find a pelagios call to discuss on. Functionally there's a reconciliation issue for data, and then an integration issue once reconciled. The shortest route is pretty short though!
Off to England to talk about LUX with... British Library, V&A, National Gallery, National Archives, Natural History Museum, Oxford University, Cambridge University, and so on. So happy it's gaining traction, and excited to see who's next. https://t.co/HaDO62WwhI #YaleLUX
@DEJPett my dance card is full this trip with the exception of 4pm Wednesday?, but will doubtless be back again before long! Say hi to Phil C for me :)
In its first two weeks, LUX (https://t.co/HaDO62X47g) Yale's new public knowledge graph for cultural and natural history, has had 10ks of uses, and prompted great interaction including offers of donations and people adding to our records about themselves ... Are you in LUX?
Arches-related #job: @HistoricEngland is seeking a Manager to lead Heritage Data programme projects. This includes Arches for HERs, a customized version of the Arches platform purpose-built for UK Historic Environment Records. Apply by June 18: https://t.co/pauqB2kcJF
@daviskellyk Yep. Pretty much!! I thought the analogies was good on many levels. Also... if each piece of string is a handspan... the strings in LUX reach beyond the moon!
I am so excited and proud to announce the official launch today of #YaleLUX, https://t.co/HaDO62WwhI our knowledge graph / LOUD based cultural and natural heritage discovery platform.
@ParisWriters @daviskellyk What would you like to do with sparql and LUX? There are plans for API access, but nothing is finalized yet. Would be great to have use cases :)
@tristan_roddis Thanks Tristan. Trying to set up a presentation about LUX in London on the 19th of June at the V&A... will send you the details if you're interested.
A couple of media pieces about LUX so far:
* Popular Science: https://t.co/ruDvFflIWv
* Yale News: https://t.co/Mhfo07Ys2J
I'm still smiling from the popsci one's use of all my examples and quotes. Chuffed they used my pinboard analogue.
I am happy to answer any questions, or get any feedback about it, here or via other channels. Yale is committed to engagement and transparency, to collaboration and diversity... all so necessary for transformative work like #YaleLUX.
@CamUniLibrarian Would be delighted to discuss what we did in more detail, at your convenience! I'll be in London and Oxford the week of the 19th of June, could likely come over to Cambridge if there's a good intersection of calendars :)
Very cool to see #YaleLUX launched. It is a single resource to search across Yale museums, libraries & archives. And @iiif_io compliant! Wonderful resource.
@dzorich Thank you, Diane! I hope you see the echoes of the American Art Collaborative's efforts in #YaleLUX as there's a very direct ancestry. The core model we all, especially @workergnome thank you David, discussed is the foundation the product.
@ewg118 @daviskellyk Let's talk :) Even just as an experiment we could harvest numismatics linked art and ingest into a #YaleLUX based platform to see what happens. The more experience and experiments, the better the platform will be and the easier to reproduce!
