I think she took the right step placing herself as the leader as a short term interim measure before she appointed a formal interim Minister. She's not grabbing on to power, but instead improving ministries that need it.

@TheNamibian I watched in the US how gambling or so called "gaming" only made communities poorer causing greater crime along with the increase in poverty. Just look at the WDH CBD. Gambling houses make money, hook people and the people get poorer. It's a no win situation.

@intelligence_i1 @TheNamibian You can also fly to Cape Town or Joburg, (~15 hrs) then wait around, then catch a connecting flight to Washington DC or Florida, then catch another to where you want to be. Also > 2 days of flying.

@intelligence_i1 @TheNamibian I'll bite. Imagine you're going to the US (a place 42% the size of all Africa). You often fly from Windhoek to Frankfurt or Heathrow on a 10 hour flight, then wait for 12 hours to fly another 10 hour flight to the east or center of the US. Same coming back. It is rough.

@NakasoleThomas @TheNamibian It was a major drain on finances. But I agree. It would be nice if maybe WestAir or Fly Namibia did at least 1 weekly flight to the Philadelphia area and Windhoek. I'd fly it.

@TheNamibian If I never have to fly 10 hours to Frankfurt or Heathrow, sit in either for 12 hours, then get on another 10 hour flight to hit the US or Namibia, I will be one happy happy dassie. I see she has also suffered this 2 day+ trip.

@amushedreambig Congratulations! Don't forget INSULATION and weatherstripping if you wish to keep your house warm in the winter and cool in the summer and make it inexpensive to keep it that way. If you can, PLEASE add an infrared filter to the windows. It makes a huge difference in temp.
