@moorehn Well I don't feel qualified to determine likely outcomes here. I've never even worked on an accident investigation (done lots of trouble-shooting, but I don't think that's the same thing). And I have no marine experience, and just a little high pressure experience.
@moorehn We don't know how this vessel was handled, maybe it got dropped or jostled before being sent on the dive? Maybe it was exposed to temperatures or uneven cooling/heating, etc.
Lots of possibilities without the constraints of hard evidence.
@moorehn Maybe? Not all materials respond like that, some return to normal once the load is removed. And sometimes there's another flaw that isn't exposed until the right (or wrong) circumstances occur.
@moorehn I was an engineering student when TWA Flight 800 crashed and I followed the investigation on and off until the final report. It's crazy how much work the NTSB had to do to come up with a final report (like 4 years, IIRC).
@moorehn Not necessarily? The design wasn't proven to be able to handle that pressure, but IIRC this thing has gone down that far before.
It could be the cause of the problem, but so could a thousand other things. Sometimes you don't know unless parts can be recovered and examined.
@milsma@LarrySabato Even in previous years when he has had a Dem opponent on the ballot he has won like 2/3 of the vote, including 2018 when all of his siblings were in an ad asking people to vote against him.
@MoiraDonegan When I was a child my parents had a CB radio in the car. My siblings and I would get on it and say all sorts of foolish things until we got yelled at by an adult on the channel.
I think about this when I read some of the comments on the internet.
@owillis I wonder how much of the failure to work as a negative is also due to changes in our perspective on aging (either our own or our parents/grandparents).
@_andyburrows @venefica616 Making a comment, ducking calls to back it up, and then limiting to access to your profile and posts is, IMO, much more trolly behavior.
@mrs_melevans I have written copies of monthly activity calendars and a white board with a 4 week look-ahead (color-coded for each kid and adult) and I still make mistakes.
@CollinYourbs I always think of McVeigh being from Junction City, but yeah I agree with your concern. Plenty of idiots out there looking for a cause to justify their violence.
