I took a trip to Ohio last weekend. While I was there I found this unbelievable gem in Delaware County, Ohio! In 1801, Revolutionary War veteran Captain Nathan Carpenter built a saw & grist mill on the banks of the Olentangy River.

..the Nazis in the African desert and of course, eventually win the war in 1945. Once the Germans were defeated in North Africa, there was no longer a need for Camp Hyder, so it was abandoned and forgotten.

The Twin Arrows Trading Post began to fail with the construction of the I-40, because motorists no longer had to take Route 66.
Business continued to decline until 1995, when it was finally closed.

Twin Arrows is a ghost "town" located on US Route 66 in Coconino County between the city of Flagstaff and Winslow.
Twin Arrows has certainly seen better days. The historic 25 foot giant, yellow twin arrows still remain.

Built in the late 1940s as Canyon Padre Trading Post, business was slow for the store and diner until the owners changed its name to โTwin Arrowsโ, inspired by nearby town of Two Guns. The post included a gas station, gift shop, and a diner.
