1) May 2022: SC stays all sedition cases, wants colonial law struck off statute
2) December 2024: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita replaces old sedition law with an even more sweeping one
3) August 2025: journalists Sidharth Vardarajan of Wire and Karan Thapar summoned by Assam police on sedition charges under new law even after SC had granted protection from ‘coercive action’. No reasons clearly given in FIR
4) net net: even after SC called for sedition laws to be reviewed and called it a colonial relic, we are back to square one with abuse of power. Angrez chale gaye apni aulad chhod gaye.

A travel agent issues tickets for a Delhi-Kochi flight to two journalists, but misspells their names by a single letter.

The vigilant CISF guards manning the airport gates spotted the error, but let one of them enter the airport anyway while the other was told the mismatch in spelling meant they would not be allowed entry into the airport.

One's name was Siddharth Varadarajan, the other Ziya Us Salam, one was Hindu, one Muslim, both had beards but one's was fuller than the other's. Guess who got in to the airport and who didn't.

An elderly couple in #Hyderabad was duped by cyber fraudsters to the tune of Rs 10.61 crore allegedly with threats of ‘digital arrest’ and various scare tactics to deceive them. The victim, a 73-year-old man, had been hospitalised in June, when he received a call from someone claiming to be an official from the SBI. The caller falsely informed him that a bank account had been opened using his Aadhaar card details in Mumbai and attempts were being made to withdraw money from it.
When the elderly man denied having any bank account in Mumbai, the caller suggested that he file a complaint with the Mumbai police and provided a phone number. He was further informed that his credentials were misused to open a bank account involved in money laundering.
The fraudsters even sent letters through WhatsApp purportedly from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) Department, to make the claims appear credible.
They had conducted ‘investigations’ through video calls, dressed as police officers, which further intimidated the couple. Under pressure, the elderly couple transferred Rs 10.61 crore in instalments. After the funds were transferred, the fraudsters ceased all communication. The couple realised they had been scammed and lodged a complaint with the TGCSB.

Telugu Student from Andhra Pradesh Killed in US Supermarket Shooting

Dasari Gopikrishna, a 32-year-old student from Bapatla district in Andhra Pradesh, succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting in USA. Gopikrishna, who moved to the United States eight months ago for better livelihood opportunities, was working at the supermarket when the tragic incident occurred.

Gopikrishna, a native of Yajali in Karlapalem mandal, was at the counter on Saturday afternoon when an assailant entered the store and opened fire. Gopikrishna was critically injured and collapsed at the scene. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he died on Sunday while receiving treatment. The attack has left his family and the community of Yajali in deep sorrow. Gopikrishna leaves behind a wife and a son.

The violent incident has been captured on nearby CCTV cameras, which recorded the assailant entering the store and firing at Gopikrishna before fleeing the scene.

My request to all polling agents of political parties:
Rule 49(S) of the Conduct of Election rules requires the Polling officer of each polling booth to record the number of votes cast in each EVM, & provide these figures in a signed document For 17(C) to the polling agents of parties. Since the EC is refusing to disclose the recorded figures & is arbitrarily revising polling data many days later, the polling agents of parties must take the figures from the polling officers & the parties must upload these on their website

-ఆన్ లైన్ బెట్టింగ్ సంస్థలు కార్పొరేట్ కంపెనీలయ్యాయి. మొదట బోనస్ అమౌంట�� ఇచ్చి అట్రాక్ట్ చేసి ఈ ఊబిలోకి దించుతున్నాయి. ఈజీగా మనీ వస్తోందని యువత భారీగా అప్పు చేసి బెట్టింగుల్లో ధారపోస్తున్నారు.

-నేను ఈ వీడియోలో చూపించిన అబ్బాయి తెలంగాణకు చెందిన ఓ దళిత రైతు కొడుకు(అతని ప్రైవసీ వల్ల పేరు చెప్పట్లేదు)

-చిన్న బట్టల దుకాణం నడిపేవాడు, వచ్చే డబ్బునంతా ఆన్ లైన్ బెట్టింగుల్లో పెట్టాడు. తర్వాత అప్పులు చేసి పెట్టాడు. 3 నెలల్లో రూ. 12 లక్షలు పోగొట్టుకున్నాడు. ఇప్పుడు అప్పుల బాధ తట్టుకోలేక, ఇంట్లో చెప్పలేక దిక్కుతోచని స్థితిలో హైదరాబాద్ లో గడుపుతున్నాడు. ఇతనికంటే చాలా పెద్ద బాధితులు వేలాది మంది ఉన్నారు.

-నేను ఈ వీడియో Youtubeలో పోస్ట్ చేశాక లక్షలు కాదు, కోట్ల రూపాయలు పోగొట్టుకున్న వాళ్లు ఉన్నారని వాళ్లు నాకు పంపుతున్న
వందలాది మెయిల్స్, వీడియో కింద చేస్తున్న వేలాది కామెంట్స్ ద్వారా తెలుస్తోంది.

-చెయ్యడానికి పని లేని యువత చేతిలో ఉన్న ఫోన్ ద్వారా ఎంతో కొంత సంపాదిద్దాం అని మొదలు పెట్టి చివరికి అప్పులు చేసి, అబద్ధాలు చెప్పి, దొంగతనాలు చేసి కూడా పెట్టేస్తున్నారు. ఒత్తిడి పెరిగిపోయి ఆత్మహత్య బాట పడుతున్నారు.

-కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తలచుకుంటే ఒక్క రోజులో ఈ బెట్టింగ్ కంపెనీలన్నీ మూతపడిపోతాయ్. కానీ ఆ పని చెయ్యట్లేదు. పైగా బెట్టింగ్ యాపుల్ని ఫాంటసీ గేమ్స్ పేరుతో అనుమతిస్తోంది. తద్వారా బెట్టింగ్ కంపెనీల నుంచి 30% టాక్స్ వసూలు చేస్తోంది.

-"Influencers బెట్టింగ్ యాప్స్ ప్రమోట్ చెయ్యకండి" అని కేంద్రం ఆదేశించిందేగానీ ఈ కిల్లింగ్ గేమ్స్ పై పూర్తిగా నిషేధం విధించలేదు. దీంతో ఇప్పటికీ యూట్యూబర్స్ , Influencers, సెలబ్రిటీస్ వీటిని ప్రమోట్ చేస్తున్నారు. వీళ్లను నమ్మి అమాయక యువత బెట్టింగుల బారిన పడుతున్నారు.

- ఈ మధ్య తెలుగు యూ ట్యూబర్, ట్రావెలర్ అన్వేష్ బెట్టింగ్ యాప్స్ నిషేధించాల్సిన అవసరం ఇందన్న ఇష్యూని చర్చలోకి తెచ్చారు.

-భారీగా నష్టపోతున్న యువత అప్పుల వాళ్లకూ, కుటుంబానికీ భయపడి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకుంటున్నారేగానీ ధైర్యంగా బయటికొచ్చి కంప్లైంట్ చేస్తున్న వాళ్లు చాలా తక్కువ.

- ఆన్ లైన్ బెట్టింగ్, గేమింగ్ పై 2017లో తెలంగాణ, 2019లో ఏపీ నిషేధించాయి. అయినప్పటికీ వీటిని ఆడుతున్నారు, కోట్ల రూపాయలు పోగొట్టుకుంటున్నారు.

-ఆన్ లైన్ బెట్టింగ్ యాప్స్ ని పూర్తిగా నిషేధించేలా కేంద్రంపై రాష్ట్రాల తరఫున ఒత్తిడి తీసుకురావాలి. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాల తరఫున యువతకు జరుగుతున్న నష్టంపై న్యాయపోరాటం చేసే మార్గం గురించి ఆలోచించగలరు.

-మద్యం, డ్రగ్స్ వల్ల స్లోగా చనిపోతారు. క��నీ ఆన్ బెట్టింగ్స్ వల్ల చాలా వేగంగా ఆత్మహత్యలకు పాల్పడే ప్రమాదం ఉంది. ఇప్పటికే అలాంటి వందలాది ఘటనలు జరిగాయి. రెండ్రోజుల క్రితం హైదరాబాద్ బండ్లగూడ జాగీర్లో ఓ వ్యక్తి ఆన్ లైన్ బెట్టింగుల వల్ల అప్పులపాలై భార్యకూ, బిడ్డకూ విషం తాగించి తానూ తాగి చనిపోయాడు. ఏపీ గుంటూరు జిల్లాలో బెట్టింగుల వల్ల ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకున్న అనేక ఘటనలు జరిగాయి.
