@MattWhitmanTMBH JD Vance talked about police being more involved. That really would be the best solution imo. They don’t need to go look for illegals but just detain them for ICE to pickup whenever they are involved in a crime. It would remove a lot of the worst offenders without ICE actions.

@MattWhitmanTMBH I can’t find a firm number but google search seems to show 600-1200 people killed per year by police. We don’t stop policing because of that. I agree all available methods of improvement should be considered but I blame an increasingly violent and radical public more than police.

@MattWhitmanTMBH Its not going well but its far more complex than I can compile in a tweet.. Media and local government hold a large responsibility in this. Compare to when Obama deported more people and nobody rioted. When local law enforcement cooperates ice doesn’t need to go door to door.

@MattWhitmanTMBH How many lives have been lost due to not enforcing the immigration law though? Also.. if law enforcement retreats it reinforces the behavior that has been happening to fight against them. Local law enforcement should be more involved and create a buffer between ice and locals.
