🚨 JEJU CASE UPDATE

The Jeju missing-person scandal is now exposing serious problems within the police system.

Sergeant Bu, who is accused of falsely closing Jang Mi-ran’s missing-person case, has admitted he never actually spoke to her, despite previously claiming he had.

But here’s where it gets even crazier 👀

Police have now confirmed another missing-person case was also falsely closed using Bu’s account and this time, a superior officer actually approved the closure.

In total, Bu handled 298 missing-person cases since taking charge last March, and police are now reviewing them.

The National Police Agency is also re-examining around 310,000 missing-person cases nationwide from the past three years to check for possible improper closures.

Meanwhile, the investigation into Jang Mi-ran’s death continues. Police are considering hanging as a possible cause of death, but the exact cause has not been confirmed due to the condition of the remains.

This has gone way beyond one officer. The entire missing-person investigation system is now under scrutiny. 😳
