People have different political beliefs. I respect that. People have different religious beliefs and cultural norms. I respect that. People even have differing understanding of “facts” and “truths” based on the media they consume and the social environment they immerse themselves in. That troubles me but I understand why it happens. (Oh how I wish we could get back to the days of having honest civil debates and common truths but that is a rant for another time),
I respect and understand these things because I believe that, at our core, we are united in a common morality – a belief in decency, honesty and justice. A desire to treat our fellow human beings with the dignity and respect for which they were endowed by their creator (whomever they might believe that is). A world where we may not like each other but, to maintain peace and for the greater good, we all agree to play by the rules.
And then I witness something so ugly and vindictive that it shatters my belief in this common tenet. I see that, either through a willful ignorance or malicious intent, people not only abandon - but gleefully smash- even their own moral construct. “Well, we know that this trial didn't adhere to our time honored traditions - including the right to a public trial without unnecessary delay, the right to a judge that promotes public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary, the right to an impartial jury, and the right to know the nature of the charges against you - but he is a despicable man so it's ok” They gleefully torch all this, in pursuit of destroying a man for whom they have an immense (and, in my opinion, irrational) hatred for. I see that they will not be content until they destroy not only the man but his family and any and all that dare express any type of support for him. I see that it won't stop with this man and his followers. Sadly they don't realize that they are feeding a beast that delights in destruction. A beast that will not stop until it destroys even themselves.
This is when I get to a line I cannot cross. This is my Rubicon. This is when I need to retreat from pleasant, frivolous interactions with those outside my “tribe” and retreat into a more prayerful life. Into a world where the Sacred Heart of Jesus recognizes us all as sinners yet still welcomes us with open arms. Where all we need to do is accept that He has dominion over our lives. A place where I can pray for everyone including the misguided and, yes, even my enemies. Where I can pray for God to have mercy on me and the whole world. A place where true, lasting joy and happiness is found. A place where we know with absolute confidence that God will indeed win this worldly war we are now engaging in.
Call it what you like, but by any measure the Iranian regime is in worse shape than it was since it took power 47 years ago. No navy, no air force, years to reestablish it's nuclear program. Iran blusters regarding controlling the Strait but sholips are getting through. Trump has managed to get Israel and all the other Arab nations to agree on a plan.
What would you prefer? Continued sticking of heads in the sand while Iran becomes a nuclear power? Or bombing the crap out of Iran further harming the Iranian people?
Trump did not strike Iran because it was murdering its own people. He struck because thetly were a threat to the US. Yes, he expected the Irish people to rise up against the weakened regime bilut if they don't that's on them. We can't be the savior of the world. Iran needs to find its 1776 patriots. https://t.co/vJ8gX6wJcd

@jrpsaki doing some fine journalism here as she embraces the Nazi tattoo guy who abuses women and plays on predatory sites: Trump says you’re bad, what’s your reaction?
Platner is not winning this election by just going on MS NOW all day for T-Ball interviews. Let’s see if he ever has the guts to do a real interview and try to reach voters outside of his far left base. It won’t happen.
ICYMI: there’s nothing the legacy media loves to do more than compare a politician to a Nazi.
Unless that politician is a Democratic candidate bragging about a Nazi tattoo. Thread ⤵️
ROLLINS UPDATES MEDIA ON NWS RESPONSE:
Following meetings with ranchers and cattle producers, @SecRollins spoke with reporters in La Pryor, Texas, about USDA's ongoing New World Screwworm response.
Rollins highlighted expanded surveillance efforts, sterile fly production, border monitoring, and continued coordination with Texas officials and producers. @TAHC@TPWDnews@TSCRA

Today, I am sanctioning Cuba’s state-owned energy company, Unión Cuba-Petróleo (CUPET), under President Trump’s EO 14404. Cuba’s Communist elites have weaponized energy as a tool of social control and kleptocratic profit.
For decades, the regime has stolen and hoarded available fuel — using it for the Castros’ private jet, the security services forces used to repress the Cuban people, to keep empty tourist hotels lit up, and to bus people in for fake protests and political stunts — all while the Cuban people have suffered blackouts and waited weeks to fill their cars.
President Trump wants a new future for the Cuban people with greater economic and political freedom and opportunity. Until then, we will continue to target the Communist regime’s ability to leverage its energy trade to further its corrupt agenda and violently repress the Cuban people.
The funny thing about Platner is YES he's got a nazi tattoo, a history of abusing women, he's denigrated rural maine, fantasized about rape, active on predator website, sexted a dozen women outside marriage..
but underneath all of that he's also terrible on politics and policy.
Way to go, Vance family!
We love our Carolina coop! It’s taught our kids responsibility and the importance of being close to your food source. My eggs taste better than factory farm eggs! @CarolinaCoops@rcamposduffy
Congressman Brandon Gill confronts the the Head of the SPLC
“About 40% of abortions nationwide are of Black babies. Blacks represent about 13% of the population. Does that sound like something a white supremacist would oppose?”
Every argument for white supremacy in America breaks down when you just think logically
I looked into more data and found Black women have abortion rates that are 4x higher than White
- Black women: 24.4 abortions per 1,000 women
- White women: 5.7 per 1,000
The Florida Supreme Court just stopped Marc Elias’ attempted takeover of Florida’s congressional map and denied his request to hear the case.
COMPLETE AND TOTAL VICTORY.
Karmelo didn't cry when the jury heard the 911 call after Austin Metcalf was stabbed.
He didn't cry when Austin's twin brother, Hunter, could be heard screaming in anguish and praying his brother wouldn't die.
He didn't cry when the jury was shown Austin's autopsy photos.
He didn't cry when they saw the blood-soaked shirt used in a desperate attempt to save Austin's life.
But he cried when he was found guilty.
And he cried again when he was sentenced to 35 years.
The only tears the jury saw were for his own fate, not for the life that was taken.
Austin Metcalf was robbed of his high school graduation, he will never get another birthday, another chance to live the life that was stolen from him.
Thirty-five years may be justice under the law, but for many, it doesn't feel like enough.
@StrategicWin5@nicksortor Why would the immigrants riot? They get free room and board and, apparently, get free rein when the urge to behead a citizen strikes.
ASSIMILATE OR LEAVE!!!
I just left the DMV in my small city in Tennessee where an immigrant man failed his permit test and was blaming it on his lack of understanding English. He was very rude to the lady at the counter demanding to redo the test today and get a dictionary so he can comprehend the words.
This is your reminder that immigration is an issue all over the country, not just in big cities.
