It's not surprising that @bellingcat & @YourAnonCentral are on the top of the Kremlinโs enemy list, both stand for human rights, support the people #Russia oppress, challenge its propaganda and expose its crimes!
Despite the smear & troll campaigns against them, they continue. ๐ฉ
Today I told the UN HR Council the Myanmar junta knows all about weapons of war but are at a loss how to deal with weapons of peaceful resistance wielded by a determined people defending their nation & their children's future. They need & deserve the UN to stand with & for them.
The Human Rights Council reconvenes @ 3:00 PM Geneva time. Delegations & human rights groups will speak. I will respond and appeal for unified action. I will also address the comments made by the junta's representative. Please join if you can. https://t.co/CdUOGGQZBe
Myanmar's internet shutdown will return to 0100-0900, according to a reliable source. It will be the 25th consecutive night of no internet connection. As to why the military is ordering a return to the slightly longer shutdown is unknown. It is a directive with no explanation.
North Okkalapa, Yangon: the military has detained hundreds of protestors in this one area this morning. Reports of at least 200 people, many are students as pictured below in Kan Thar Yar Park. Also reports of a violent crackdown involving live ammunition
