@Capt_Fishpaste Sunderland set valuations on players and don’t go above them so not surprising they bow out when it’s exceeded. They are disciplined to their own detriment sometimes. They will find someone to bring in - I’m sure they have loan options lined up if they can’t land anyone.

@Capt_Fishpaste Reports are that Hull have already gone up to 6M. Will we get in a bidding war and go up to 7-8M? I doubt it. If we have shown one thing it’s that we establish a valuation on a player and don’t stray too far above it. Think we ultimately look to other strikers.

@Capt_Fishpaste Every club goes through this. Top talents are sold. Look at Coventry. Look at Leeds. There is about 150m of talent in the starting 11 right now which is almost all the work of Speakman & his recruiting staff (Rigg/Neil excluded). Recruiting is the one area I have some faith in.
