I have no words to this at all, it's a dreadful incident to have to experience. LNER have some of the nicest train crews and no-one should have to be subject to any of this. My thoughts are with all involved.
Heroic thinking from the driver and the signaller as well.

We are aware of an incident involving one of our trains. Our immediate concern is for the welfare of our customers and crew who are on board. We are in the process of gathering all the details we can and are liaising with British Transport Police.
After 13 hours 50 minutes, @CrossCountryUK Voyager 221129 has ventured across Scotland and England from Aberdeen all the way to Penzance.
This was one heck of an amazing journey with some stunning scenery over 774 miles!
A very nice treat in the early hours of the morning. After severe disruption on the ECML at Newark, a Thunderbird 47 drags LNER 91109 through Lincoln on a heavily delayed 1N36 at speed.
I've been going through my @RailDepartures board config today and noticed that my V1 desktop departure board has been online and showing trains for 5.7 years now!
Still one of the best purchase decisions I've made to date :D
