@MarxKiAnkh Yk, Islam didn’t say “married = change your surname” 😭 Your lineage is still your dad’s, not your husband’s lineage. The whole taking-your-husband’s-last-name thing is mostly a Western tradition and it feels so weird.
I can't believe I get laid off from internship before it's become a permanent job for me JUST BECAUSE of their alumni student?? Lord I'm having a hard time finding a job milte milte reh gai 🤲🏻
Mothers are often expected to handle everything effortlessly, to care for their children, manage their homes and continue fulfilling everyone else’s expectations while their own physical, emotional, and mental needs are overlooked.
It’s not motherhood itself that isolates women; it’s society that isolates mothers. Motherhood can be challenging, but what makes it even harder is the lack of support, understanding, and care women receive during one of the most demanding phases of their lives.
motherhood isolates women in ways society has normalized. we expect women to give up their bodies, careers, ambitions, friendships and identities, then call it “natural.” it takes a village to raise a child, yet when a woman needs that village, everyone suddenly disappears.
The lesson that #Arbaeen teaches us is that we must keep the truth and the memory of martyrdom alive in confronting the enemy’s propaganda storm.
