Woke up at 3am to watch Lionel Messi.
Got work in an hour.
One day, there won’t be any more 3am alarms to watch him play.
That’s why it’s always worth it.
HERE WE GO!
I’ll tell you one thing though Barcelona has to learn how to play a bit dirty. The problem is that we’re still playing with utmost integrity and respect for the beautiful game but when the system works against you you have to be smarter.
Why didn’t Cubarsí protest when Simeone stuck his leg out to look for contact? Why didn’t the team swarm the ref when a clear handball was ignored? Why didn’t the players react when Koke got away with a third yellow card challenge? Why didn’t Cancelo or Yamal go down when there was clear contact in the box?
You have to be smarter and defend yourself when you have the right to do so. I’m not saying to be unfair or scummy like real madrid players who dive multiple times per game but you have to at least signal to the ref when there’s injustice.
This team is young and too kind but at some point you have to realize that life isn’t always fair to those who play nice. You have to stand up for yourself and defend your right to compete.
