I knew the moment I saw it at #TIFF24: ANORA was destined for great things! A deserved #Oscars2025 best film winner!
My review is here ICYMI:

ANORA is still cleverly refreshing despite retaining Sean Baker’s signature style. A slick screenplay coupled with Mikey Madison & Mark Eydelshteyn’s immersive performances make for a hilarious plot with touching moments & naked grit. Any nods for awards is unsurprising. #TIFF24
I found THE BRUTALIST to be a deeply evocative, epic of a film. Find out why in my recently published 3-minute read film review! @thebrutalistmov@UniversalPicsAU@UniversalPics

THE PIANO LESSON is both a powerful family drama & an exploration of history & heritage. Malcolm Washington beautifully traverses a dark chapter in American history manages to evoke pride in the resilience & achievements of the African American people.

WE LIVE IN TIME is a quintessentially British love story with all the feels. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry; and you will absolutely love Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh. My 3 minute review is out now for your reading pleasure!

THE DEB is the best musical comedy from Australia since Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. Wildly hysterical, brilliant songs & wonderful performances. Rebel Wilson has created something truly special & quintessentially Australian for the world to enjoy #TIFF24
WE LIVE IN TIME is both charming & engaging. The abundance of humour amidst a layered & emotional romance is a screenplay magic. Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield are brilliant. They had me till the end.
BABYGIRL powerfully explores female empowerment in a world where role models hide vulnerabilities & are often destroyed by the women they champion. The psychological themes are deep, raw & nuanced but Nicole Kidman nails the brief in one of her career-best performances. #TIFF24
THE PIANO LESSON is a masterclass in every category. Malcolm Washington's directorial debut & his screenplay co-crafted with Virgil Williams are stellar. The ensemble cast shines - igniting pride of history & community & shows joy even in hardship. There's a lot to love #TIFF24
QUEER is Luca Guidagnino's passion project - determined his audience experience the visceral journey as he imagined. It's beautifully shot with high production values. Not everyone will be on his wavelength but Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey's chemistry proves they are. #TIFF24
CONCLAVE is a gripping portrayal of the intrigue only few in the Church know. Edward Berger masterfully ensures the tension endures - aided by Volker Bertelman's superb score. Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow & Stanley Tucci's contributions are stellar. This is a must-see! #TIFF24
THE ASSESSMENT is a clever exposition on control in a choked world - portraying the dichotomy of freedom & submission at its most extreme: Who Shall Procreate? The sets are gloriously bleak. Elizabeth Olsen gives much depth & Alicia Vikander is terrifyingly captivating. #TIFF24
#TIFF24
Jharrell Jarome brings surprising maturity to UNSTOPPABLE. With J-Lo, Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale & Michael Peña in tow this adaption of real life events provides for entertaining viewing. It's not perfect but its formulaic approach guarantees entertaining couch viewing #TIFF24
