Malaysia’s PM Anwar Ibrahim said any talks with Iran must aim to end the US and Israel war with the country, not serve as a tactical advantage or temporary pause.
He also reaffirmed Iran’s right to defend its sovereignty while urging restraint to avoid wider regional fallout.
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Royal Laureate Professor Tan Sri Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. He was, by any measure, one of the greatest minds of our age, a philosopher who asked not just what we know, but what knowledge is for. Through his voluminous and seminal works including “Islam and Secularism” and his magnum opus “Prolegomena to the Metaphysics of Islam,” he challenged the secularisation of knowledge and set out the intellectual foundations of an Islamic worldview. Malaysia heard him. The Muslim world heard him.
He leaves us on the 18th of Ramadan, at the age of 95. That is a life well lived and a departure well earned.
On behalf of the Government and people of Malaysia, I extend my deepest condolences to his family and to all who sat at his feet. May Allah grant him His mercy and the highest station among the righteous. Al-Fatihah.
ANWAR IBRAHIM
Macam budak² pertuduhan yang dikenakan pada @hamzahzainudin_ ni. Adakah kerana beliau lantang menentang kerajaan madani sehingga diperlakukan begini rupa?
@AdamAdli Meski agak canggung melihat, dari seorang aktivis rencam menempelak sistem pendidikan tinggi, kini Sdr diamanahkan mengepalai sistem. May the odds be ever in your favour Sdr.
Dlm context "pengaruh" politik, Azmin Ali ni sebenarnya insan paling berkapasiti utk jadi Ketua Pembangkang dlm PN.
Karisma ada, gaya diplomatik ada. Kalau Hamzah nampak too gangster. Kalau Haji Hadi pula, nampak tak berdaya. Kudrat dah takdak, patut pencen sebaiknya.
