@AthletesInSpace given what we knew at the same time a year ago, I'd say higher floor but lower ceiling.
I'd add that Patricia was an unknown heading into last year and won't be this year, so that helps raise the floor as well
@frankbumb yeah, and I'll really enjoy the 2 while continuing to criticize the failures that led to the 10
and for all the whining about S&C and player development, I think it's clear that their process there is solid, and the 2025 failures can be attributed to coaching inexperience
@frankbumb Sure, there are valid criticisms of the coaching that I also share! Most of them have been addressed, pending actual on-field results. But also all the guys drafted won a natty during a historically dominant playoff run, so it's not like this class criminally underachieved
@frankbumb I'm not sure what point you're arguing anymore but my point is that being mad that your program churns out first-rounders (at a higher clip than other programs with similar recruiting profiles) seems kind of silly
@frankbumb Also losing Styles at Nickel also hurt them a ton in terms of what coverages they ran, so having more viable safeties (something they thankfully seem to have addressed) would have also helped in those games
@frankbumb I'd certainly put quite a bit of blame on offensive coaching, but there were clear deficiencies on OL and lots of inexperience at QB and RB that directly contributed to those two losses
