This is simply a lack of education. If a contractor gets a tetanus vaccine it’s “good” for several years. However if you are injured on a job site you can, and probably will, be given another one when you go get stitches regardless of if you’re “good” or not.
Ask a guy what kind of rifle load he recommends for deer vs bear.
Then ask him for arrows on deer vs bear.
Watch physics get thrown out the window from the effect of years of marketing and anecdotal chance.
It’s like watching someone try to shave with a brick.
I’m consistently surprised to see people read testing data or financial data, have it interpreted, and then simply toss it out as garbage because it isn’t what they previously thought was true, or because it doesn’t toe the party line.
@newdull1 @WB_Baskerville This also reads like one can’t teach their children to admit when they’re wrong, because that would be teaching them critical thinking.
@newdull1 How can you rightly tell if someone is “inoculated” though? That they graduated? Plenty of people graduate high school and forget basic algebra because they never use it or never really paid attention.
@newdull1 @WB_Baskerville Bias is a crazy drug. There are plenty of people who can be shown data and they don’t see it, it doesn’t click, because it doesn’t fit their worldview. The evidence that convinced me, might not convince others. Critical thinking totally exists.
@ByzCat One of the sayings on that channel is “don’t trust us, test us” so if you feel strongly about this I would hope you would let them know. That being said, I’m not sure that you’re not misinterpreting things either. But, I haven’t read Aquinas at a level to debate him in good faith
