This upset me, bless her, the way those officers treated Henry, I don’t think we’ll ever get over. It’s not who we are, I refuse to accept this as our new normal. Henry’s death must make a pivotal change in DEI policies, there has to be equality. It seems the police force need to be de-radicalised.

The key point is simple: the IOPC reviewed the officers who handcuffed Henry Nowak as he lay dying and is still treating them as witnesses, saying there is no evidence of misconduct so far. Put that next to Manchester and the public will see the same pattern again — endless process, very little accountability.
