I really hate to see situations like this. For future orders, please make sure you receive a bank slip with the payment details and confirm the funds are in your account before shipping anything out.
The only exception would be a vendor you have worked with many times and fully trust, where you feel comfortable arranging shipment early.
@SingularBun@StevenP015 Another good point π
I sadly think some of the current releases feel pretty uninspired. A lot of them donβt feel like they were made with real intent, but more like they were rushed out to chase the current glass pad wave.
Question for glass mousepad users:
If a coated glass pad clearly stated that the coating would perform effectively for around 3 to 4 years, would you still buy it?
The coating would be designed to reduce dust buildup and make the surface easier to clean.
@xTheWhale_@brockliddicoat 100%. The areas that get swiped over the most will definitely develop an inconsistent and uneven feel over time, creating faster and slower spots across the surface.
Really looking forward to trying to pick up a GLAZE ULTRA brotha!
@brockliddicoat I agree. What I find interesting is that once the coating eventually degrades, you may end up with a unique surface feel that you actually enjoy even more.
Looking forward to seeing your mouse too, boss!
@StevenP015 Speed Serum would work and could make the feel even more unique. Once the coating wears down, you may even end up with a pad you enjoy more.
For reference, I think most coatings currently on the market are lasting around 6 months to 1 year.
@Elizafys The coating would mainly degrade from regular use and repeated cleaning. Temperature and humidity could play a role, but not as much as people might think, due to the properties of the coating and how it is applied π
@Jamyeahdog If the coating eventually wore down and the main tradeoff was more dust accumulation, would you still consider the pad?
The surface may also slow down slightly over time, but the core feel would still remain usable.
