THANK YOU MORRISONS:
Huge thanks once again to everyone who buys the Foodbank donation packs from Morrisons #Chorlton we received another generous donation towards our food response today.
Thanks also to Carlie & everyone at Morrisons for supporting Reach Out to the Community.
Introducing our Reach Out to the Community #CharityShop in #Chorlton
We opened the shop in July 2017 to help fund our small independent charity, so all proceeds from the shop go towards supporting people experiencing #homelessness & #poverty in and around South #Manchester
MONDAY 22nd APRIL:
This morning we started outreach at 6.00am in #WhalleyRange then onto #Chorlton before heading to the AirPort checking for anyone bedding down and offering referrals & support where required.
Afterwards we attended a weekly outreach meeting at the Town Hall.
Sometimes on early morning outreach when you’re waking someone up to offer support it helps to be able to provide a brew people are more likely to talk to us, this then helps us to do an assessment for the relevant referrals.
£5 pays for a brew & food

Eddie was also out with a rep from CGL, they covered #Hulme & the City Centre
Its not just humans we meet on outreach, this week we met an individual and their dog sleeping on the streets.
Just because someone has a dog it doesn’t mean they can’t be accommodated, some homeless hostels do accept dogs.
Thankfully both were accommodated within the week.
