📢 A voiceless horse is being forced to carry heavy loads up to the 6th floor of a building. Step after step, it climbs in silence, unable to say "I'm tired" or "I'm in pain.

Animals feel pain, fear, exhaustion, and suffering just like we do. Their silence is not consent. No living being should be treated like a machine for human convenience.

This is blatant animal cruelty. Authorities must intervene immediately, rescue the animal from further suffering, and take appropriate legal action against those responsible.

Kindly read the order before any knee jerk govt level decision.

Reproducing the exact wordings of the order. Please read and understand -
‘subject to due assessment by qualified veterinary experts and STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS of the PCA Act 1960, the ABC Rules, 2023 and other APPLICABLE STATUTORY PROVISIONS, take such measures AS MAY BE LEGALLY PERMISSIBLE, including euthanasia in cases involving rabid, incurably ill or demonstrably dangerous/aggressive dogs, so as to effectively curb the threat posed to human life and safety.’

Since ABC Rules do not permit euthanasia of Rabid or aggressive dogs, the order effectively allows euthanasia of ONLY incurably ill and mortally wounded dogs.

NO DOG other than mortally wounded and incurably ill, is legally permitted to be euthanised.

Normally, I do not comment on Supreme Court judgements and only those who have a case can speak. But if a judgement is given against voiceless animals, then one has to raise their voice.
The court order is not practical, it is inhuman. Who will decide whether a stray dog is dangerous and it should be administered the death injection?
I feel, the court order will open up the gates of atrocities on voiceless stray dogs. Animal activist Menaka Gandhi's suggestion is right. If the State wants to lower the number of stray dogs, there should be a massive sterilization and vaccination drive for such homeless animals.

इनका नाम जेसिका लाल था।

ये 34 साल की थी। दिल्ली में एक मॉडल थी, जो 29 अप्रैल 1999 की रात महरौली में एक पार्टी में सेलिब्रिटी बारमेड के तौर पर काम कर रही थी।

उस पार्टी में 300 से ज़्यादा लोग थे। राजनेता। बिजनेसमैन। फैशन डिजाइनर। बॉलीवुड के चेहरे।

आधी रात को बार में शराब खत्म हो गई।

मनु शर्मा अंदर आया। एक कांग्रेसी सांसद का बेटा। उसने शराब मांगी। जेसिका ने मना कर दिया। उसने उसे 1,000 रुपये देने की पेशकश की। जेसिका ने फिर मना कर दिया।

उसने एक पिस्तौल निकाली। चेतावनी के तौर पर छत पर एक गो ली चलाई।

जेसिका ने फिर भी मना कर दिया।

उसने जेसिका के सिर में गोली मा र दी।

फिर वह बाहर चला गया।

उस रात उसके साथ जाने वाले लोगों के ग्रुप में विकास यादव भी था। सांसद डी.पी. यादव का बेटा। वही विकास यादव, जिसने तीन साल बाद नीतीश कटारा को किडनैप करके मार डाला था।

उस पार्टी में मौजूद 300 लोगों में से सिर्फ़ 10 लोग गवाही देने के लिए आगे आए।

फिर, एक-एक करके, उन्होंने अपने बयान बदल दिए।

32 गवाह अपने बयान से पलट गए।

फरवरी 2006 में, ट्रायल कोर्ट ने सभी नौ आरोपियों को बरी कर दिया।

पूरा देश गुस्से से उबल पड़ा।

मीडिया ने एक स्टिंग ऑपरेशन किया। गवाह कैमरे पर यह कबूल करते हुए पकड़े गए कि उन्हें अपनी गवाही बदलने के लिए पैसे दिए गए थे। मनु शर्मा के पिता का नाम भी इस रिश्वतखोरी से जुड़ा था।

जनता के दबाव की वजह से हाई कोर्ट में अपील करनी पड़ी। 25 दिनों तक रोज़ाना सुनवाई हुई।

दिसंबर 2006 में, मनु शर्मा को दोषी ठहराया गया। उसे उम्रकैद की सज़ा सुनाई गई।

विकास यादव को चार साल की सज़ा मिली।

नीतीश कटारा की ह' त्या के समय वह ज़मानत पर बाहर था।

आज मनु शर्मा आज़ाद है।

17 साल जेल में बिताने के बाद, 2020 में उसे अच्छे बर्ताव के आधार पर रिहा कर दिया गया। उसने अपना नाम बदल लिया है। अब वह 'इन्द्री' नाम का एक व्हिस्की ब्रांड चलाता है।

जेसिका को दोबारा 'नहीं' कहने का मौका कभी नहीं मिला।

उसकी बहन सबरीना ने 7 साल तक अकेले ही यह लड़ाई लड़ी। 2000 में उसकी माँ का देहांत हो गया। 2006 में उसके पिता भी गुज़र गए। लेकिन, वह लगातार लड़ती रही।

अगर सबरीना ने हार मान ली होती, तो यह केस भी जेसिका की तरह ही खत्म हो गया होता।

खामोशी में।

उन लोगों की सच्ची कहानियाँ जानने के लिए हमें फ़ॉलो करें, जिन्होंने भारत को इन घटनाओं को भूलने नहीं दिया।

The killing of hundreds of stray animals in my state is deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable.

Those responsible must be held accountable under the law, and exemplary punishment should be pursued. Reports indicate that some individuals have already been arrested, and an FIR has been registered against a Sarpanch in the RR district.

A humane and compassionate approach to stray dog management is the only sustainable solution. Caging strays is not the answer—what we need is a balanced, science-based strategy focused on vaccination, sterilisation, and responsible management.

I urge the Chief Minister, Shri @revanth_anumula, to ensure such an approach is adopted while addressing these tragic deaths.
