❌ "I will not apologise!"
🤷♂️ "It should have been 7-0!"
Agbonlahor is not saying sorry to the nation of Cape Verde for predicting they'd get hammered 7-0 by Spain! 🤐

Senegalese speaker of the National Assembly, Ousmane Sonko on the Senegal vs. France match in the World Cup:
"I think Senegal will win. Anyway, whatever happens, an African team will beat an African team!"
He says he is waiting for direction from the government. He considers himself a law-abiding citizen who pays taxes and creates jobs for locals, so he is not leaving the country before 30 June.”
@dammiedammie35 This is biased reporting. The fans wanted to use the Iranian flag that was used before the Iranian Revolution of 1979. They actually wanted to use it as a protest gesture against the current Iranian regime. FIFA actually asked fans not to use the flag way before the match day.
🚨 Absolute madness in the US right now as the Uruguay national team gets pulled to the side of the road and treated like straight-up suspects.
They literally just landed for the World Cup and security is already ripping their luggage open on the tarmac with sniffer dogs everywhere
Qatar and Russia hosted without this level of paranoia but the "land of the free" is handing out pure humiliation to Global South athletes before a single match is even played, the double standards are screaming.
🚨🗣️ Felix Nmecha on why he prayed with the Curacao National Team after the game:
"In the match we are rivals, but after the game we are all Christians and we are all brothers."
"We shared a short prayer because we believe that Jesus is glorified through the game."
@talkSPORT This confirms the level of football ignorance for most of these guys. African fans are not totally surprised with this result. Cape Verde are a very strong team. England cannot beat them. You don’t watch football beyond Europe and that tells.
