@arouseki there are people who are scared of asking for help due to the thought that may be ridiculed. hindi dahil meron tayong disorder ay p'wede na tayong mag-behave badly without any consequences. good day! 😸
@arouseki my two cents lang naman is that disorders are not a free pass to unprofessionalism. it is also not something to use as a reason to get out of trouble. ayun lang naman. mental disorders are highly stigmatized and using them as a reason to blanket bad behaviors are not okay as +
the way i had to go public just to tweet, like c’mon now. this is why no one takes mental illnesses seriously anymore 😭 kawawa ang mga clients who struggle with the same disorders kasi hindi na sila naseseryoso due to the stigmas created around their disorders.
again, DO NOT DIAGNOSE INDIVIDUALS especially those who don’t even know you ‼️ grabe na lang talaga sa pag-misdiagnose. may nalaman lang na disorder then ran with it without even doing proper research beforehand which is just crazy 😭 nag-iinflict kayo ng psychological harm lalo!
being diagnosed with disorders ≠ unprofessionalism and should be an excuse for shitty behavior. this is why the stigma never ends because of shit takes like these. kung hindi naman kayo psychology professionals or psychology students, do not spew bullcrap like this.
you people are really waiting for this day to come. dj is literally battling with anxiety disorders like ptsd. she's also recently diagnosed with severe panic disorder and other medical complications. for sure, she has reasons why she's acting the way she does.
@arouseki@mikhsnkta you’re not a med student naman pala nor a psychology student. i don’t think you should be basing your statements with an outdated version of the DSM-5 :)
parents. this is another reason why i do not want to have children, because i know i am the hosed down version of both my parents. it’s scary feeling this way because you’re constantly thinking of the negative aspect of the impact your parents have left on you.
it’s because it’s the behavior we have emulated from our parents at such a young age. it stems from bandura’s social learning theory that whatever we see, observe and model are influenced by factors such as motivation, attitudes and especially emotions.
i'm not sure how much we inherit from our parents, but as i started observing my father carefully, i realized that many of the things i struggle with come from him. i have seen him being short-tempered, indecisive, and socially awkward, and i see him struggling with all of these
that’s why so much children pick up on their parents’ bad habits and behavior because those type of practices are what they often see in their environment (e.g. home) and it’s reinforced due to lack of proper parenting. this is why not all individuals are meant to become -
