-offer assistance with groceries, medical care, and emotional support
-report suspected and known elder abuse to Adult Protective Services, long term ombudsman or the police.

Signs of Elder Abuse:
-lacking medical aids (hearing aids, walker, dentures)
-stop taking part in activities they once enjoyed
-becomes withdrawn, agitated or violent
-looks messy with unwashed hair or dirty clothes
-has unexplained burns, cuts or bruises.
