I have been away from X for a while but I wasn't absent I was observing how quickly hype rises and how quickly it dies.
And gradually, something began to make sense.
People often say, “Build your brand.” It sounds repetitive until you truly understand what it means. When you build around hype, whether it is a trend, a wave, or a sudden narrative, you are tying your identity to something temporary. Hype, by nature, always has an expiration date.
When the excitement fades, everything attached to it fades as well.
I have seen brands rise overnight, only to quietly disappear when the spotlight shifts. When you build on noise you cannot control, you become vulnerable to its silence. The energy dies, and so does the structure that depended on it.
That is when it became clear to me: If you build your brand around hype, your brand will only be as strong as the lifespan of that hype.
But when you build your brand around your thinking, your perspective, and your voice, that is different and it's durable, it's evolves and that compounds over time.
Though I'm still trying to figure out what I will be doing. But for now, I will be transferring my thoughts through ink.
