A parents employment b/c a child whose parent has a unstable job lacks the funds to provide the child with resources likes books & materials to start their education. Also that child could be malnourished and go to school hungry which will prohibit them from effectively learning
@evee_cunningham I think the most interesting part of this class was when we went out into the hallway to talk and learn from one another about our different views on the philosophies. It was really beneficial to hear other peoples perspective of the philosophy that I align myself with.

Today I walked by a class of kindergartners. They smiled, waved, some “blew me kisses.” And in that moment, my heart grew two sizes. Our kids are born GOOD.
Kids lead. When we pay attention, they show us who we can be, what the world can be. Full of kindness and human connection.
@LaurenDietz8 I was really surprised to see the variation of poverty across Virginia. It is really eye opening to see that even in some of the wealthiest counties have schools that are in poverty.
@EduScible I love this article! I feel as if all of the google norms are essential, but the one that I personally think is the most important is psychological safety. I mean how can anyone be successful in an environment that they don’t feel safe speaking up in?
