@techwhipped@TeamYouTube Thanks Robert.
It looks like YT won't let us do anything until the video is actually taken down and the copyright strike is applied.
We need help. Our channel is under attack by a scammer sending fake copyright strikes.
We have sent messages to YT but there's no way to dispute.
ANYONE can help! Tweet out to (@TeamYouTube@YouTubeCreators@YouTube) and get them to look into this issue and help us.
@TeamYouTube Ok, I had a chance to look at the information you sent. I don't understand why there is no action a user can take to protect their content in false CR strike. To fight a false CR issue I need to take damage to my channel. How is that fair?
@TeamYouTube Well, it looks like the person is just making random e-mails accounts and making the disputes that way, not through a channel. We've gotten messages from 4 different accounts, 2 of them are gmail.
@TeamYouTube It's a Copyright Claim - Takedown. This is where it gets very interesting. The claim is coming for a gmail address, but they are claiming the ID of a person that has a YT channel. If this were really the person they claim to be, shouldn't this claim come from the channel?
@TeamYouTube Hi, thank you for all the quick replies. Here's what's happening, we have been given 7 days to delete the video, but there are no options to submit a copyright counter. It is clear the person who made the copyright attack is a scammer.
