Voting is taken seriously at @sacstate, and experts at our University want all eligible voters to know the real score as we approach Election Day. Check out the latest Beyond J podcast. https://t.co/JwNOQual8s #beyondJ

The “Forum Theatre Festival,” one of this fall’s student productions, is not a passive viewing experience. Part of an interactive tradition of theater known as Theatre of the Oppressed, it features a series of short plays about oppression, then literally invites audience members up onto the stage to re-enact the scenes and see how they might react.

The goal is to promote social and political change by transforming the audience from passive spectators to active “spect-actors. https://t.co/mHpG2FT3Ys

Great to hear @sacstate's AI chief Sasha Sidorkin chop it up with "Beyond J" host Phillip Altstatt. Who says life-changing tech can't be fun? #sacstate #beyondJ #NIAIS

[Sacramento State @sacstate]

“I know what hype is,” says Sasha Sidorkin, Sac State’s chief AI officer.
While the conversation about AI can sometimes seem to alternate between hype about possibilities and concerns about societal disruption, Sidorkin takes a more measured approach. He sat down with Sac State’s "Beyond J" podcast to assess the state of AI, in the classroom and beyond.

After the first three of six brain surgeries to remove cancerous tumors at Stanford Hospital, I nearly died twice, doctors told me. On Thursday at Shasta Lake I hooked the biggest bass I’d tangled with in years. I released the big fish for a similar second chance. See Facebook.

How about that? @SacHornetsFB beat Stanford in Troy Taylor's home debut for the Cardinal, 30-23.
FCS-ranked 6th, Sacramento State showed it could hang with an FBS program (and drilled Colorado State last year). @KBtheQB1 had winning TD strike to Marcus Fulcher.

Horrifying and intolerable. We must join to together to denounce and end racism, antisemitism, and attacks on our LGBTQIA+ community. We in Sacramento and we #SacState must rise above hate. Today of all days—Juneteenth. #StingersUp
