So trapped
Screaming
Howling
Through this hollow soul
Bleeding
The spirit
Crying out
F*ckin' screaming
The life a-fades away
The foolishness
Dreaming

The shackles
Just believing
Forgotten in the mist
Barely
Even
Breathing

In a cracked mirror
Twisted

If your smile is invisible
Wisdom erodes
Strength melts away
Laughter corrodes
If your eyes are empty
Your hope is bereft
If you're stripped down to you

Shrouded in darkness
Blind to the light
While it's frozen inside
The stars out there burn
Penetrating night's blanket
Just a #glimmer of hope
Is all you need to survive

Staggering, stammering, rage at the storm
Fall into shadows but not despair
Cry out your eyes, then rip out your hair
Stare out empty at the chasm wide

The #oracle, the wise, the sure
She was the twisted, the mangled
The fallen, bruised, impure
She was the memory misguided
The tender, fragile twist of fate
She was the angel of lies and deception
She was the forgotten, the gone, the late

The ocean on Tuesday, relief
The stars on a Wednesday drove me insane
On Thursday just brought me grief
The debauchery Friday, f*cked up my mind
Saturday, do it with friends
Sunday wasted, a thief in the day
The next day do it again

Now just a memory fades
The cracks in my being

Another cold thought to invade
A moment was joyous
In a world full of dark
As I slump back into my hole
Left scars on my heart

Never pause
This panic
This strife
One with the pain
Once again
Silent cries
Mistaken
And breaking
Still never wise
Forgotten
Downtrodden
The hope sometimes flies
