ASCD PD: The Activate Professional Learning Library is a great way to add to the work of educators because of all the tools and insight it provides. The videos, especially, allowed me to choose something I wanted to know more about and allowed me to see a glimpse of ideas.

ASCD PD: After watching the video on building trauma-sensitive schools, the main takeaway for me and my practice would have to be taking a moment and thinking about how you should react when a student behavior occurs. Taking that time makes you realize that it is not about you.

ASCD PD: After reading Well-Being in Schools introduction, my main takeaway is the idea that your students needs, such as being fed and feeling safe, should always take priority. Students cannot learn unless these basic needs are being met. They cannot “Maslow before they “bloom”
