Started my first day as PIC at my new pharmacy.

Just when I thought I was getting the hang of it after training elsewhere for 2 weeks, today had me overwhelmed.

Although the fact that they just started a pharmacy remodel last night doesn’t help either.

Patient comes up asking how to use a lancing device given to him by the VA. I tell him to sanitize or wash his hands first and he looks at me asking “so I’m supposed to wash my hands and use a clean one each time? There’s a lot of things we’re supposed to do that we don’t”

I ordered new glasses before I lost my insurance (ran there the next day-if work was gonna pay up to $300 for frames I’m not passing that up)
I get a text tonight telling me they’re ready and to come pick them up.
At 6:41.
They closed at 6. 😑
