That was incredibly weird and unexpected. Why did they even add that? It doesn't make sense.

The only thing they didn't cheap out on was Ghost's emotions. And honestly? That was the only redeeming part. He was the only goddamn ray of light in this campaign. When he said he was going to arrest Price instead of killing him or seeking revenge - I was fucking floored. He was the only voice of reason in this entire insane game. And man, I felt for him so much at the end. Poor boy, he literally watched his entire squad die right in front of his eyes.

My subjective score for the campaign is a 6/10. The graphics are top-tier, the gameplay is great, and the Korea part is awesome, but the main story is a total sieve, trying way too hard to be dramatic in the most unnatural and stupid ways possible.

My thoughts on the new MW4. Honestly? I’m conflicted. The graphics and gameplay are top-tier, and the Korea section is absolute fire, but the story... it’s a mess.

First off, I feel like they just went in and reworked a massive chunk of the character models. For what?! Why the fuck would they do that? There's zero point to it; it's just changing things for the sake of changing them.

But if you think the skins are bad, hold my beer. The plot armor and "out of nowhere" twists are even worse. Makarov being the son of the Russian Defense Minister? Are you fucking kidding me?! That is such a massive, gaping plot hole that I'm just sitting here like, "What the fuck was the point of this?" This info adds absolutely nothing to the story. It’s just dead weight. There wasn't a single word about this in MW3.

Look, there are definitely some cool moments in the game, I'll give them that. But they are completely neutralized by the shitty writing and the holes in the plot. It’s just drama for the sake of drama. Killing off main characters just to kill them off. "Oh, it's a popular trope!" Fuck you.

And don't even get me started on the rank jumps. How the hell did Gaz go from Sergeant to Captain in such a short time? tf? It would have made way more sense for Ghost to get promoted; he's closer to that rank anyway. It feels like the devs were just desperate to shove it in our faces that Gaz is now stepping into his former mentor's shoes. Talk about forced pathos.

The campaign is decent in parts, and the Korea section is absolute fire, but for fuck's sake, why did they butcher all the main characters? Gaz's death was completely meaningless and unjustified. It felt totally unearned.
