Dick Cheney’s legacy is not complicated.

He did extraordinary damage to the Middle East and the reputation of the United States.

He has the blood of Americans on his hands.

The Iraq War destabilized the entire region, empowered the Islamic Republic of Iran, and led to the killing and displacement of millions of people.

And it setup the conditions that led to the creation of ISIS.

And Cheney died never expressing any regret for his role in this whole saga.

And this doesn’t even get into how he used every lever of executive power to circumvent democratic oversight.
